Are you interested in developing your voice? Atlanta Voice Coaching can help you sound the way you want to sound. Whether that means learning how to modify your accent, how to support your voice so you can be heard in a large room, or devloping the tone and clarity of your voice and articulation.

Cynthia Barrett has served as Head of Voice and Speech for the professional actor training program at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and the department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She's also been a visiting faculty member specializing in voice at University of California-Davis, University of Illinois, Kennesaw State and Interlochen Center for the Arts. She has taught workshops in accent modification, vocal production, and Fitzmaurice Voicework all over the United States.

Private clients in voice production and accent modification include: Pillowtex, Georgia Tech College of Computing, Bank of America, Stress Resources, Triad Yoga Institute, Oracle Inc., AT&T, City of Atlanta, Dekalb County, Speak Easy Spanish.

Cynthia has served as voice/text/dialect coach for the Alliance Theatre Company, Horizon Theatre Company, Actor's Express, Synchronicity Performance Group, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Metro Theatre Company, Illinois Repertory Theatre and Georgia Shakespeare.

She is a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework, holds an MFA in Acting with special studies in Voice from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a member of Actor's Equity Association and the Voice and Speech Trainer's Association (VASTA).
